Dynamic Logistix Takes Freight the Extra Mile to Make Sustainability Donation to New Orleans Community

March 11, 2022

From individual to consumers to corporations big and small, clean and sustainable living practices are rapidly growing. In an effort to reduce waste and improve their environmental impact, companies are not only making these practices a priority, they’re making them a part of their identity.

Dynamic Logistix (DLX), a Kanas City based full supply chain logistics management company, partners with over 10,000 carriers across the United States and internationally. One of those partners is Louisiana Fish Fry (LFF). Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Fish Fry delivers Cajun-inspired cooking products including dipping sauces; batter and breading mixes; and crawfish, shrimp and crab boil. Many of LFF’s commodities are delivered in plastic drum barrels that hold up to 50 gallons of liquid.

Recognizing that these barrels could be repurposed, Louisiana Fish Fry jumped at the opportunity to support an energy efficient nonprofit program Green Light New Orleans and ship the cleaned drum barrels directly to them.

Green Light uses the barrels to capture rainwater that will combat subsidence and flooding; reduce the amount of rainwater that carries pollutants to the city’s drainage system; reduce New Orleans’s carbon footprint; and lower monthly bills, proving how individual, yet collective, actions can make a significant impact.

Dynamic Logistix took on the $2,500 freight costs to transport the drums from Baton Rouge to New Orleans. Customer Account Manager Abigail Jones shared, “At DLX, we work daily to support our clients in every aspect. It is incredibly rewarding to play a small part in working as partners with our customers, in their charitable contributions to better their own communities.

Maintaining precise temperature ranges and adhering to strict food safety regulations requires food shippers to navigate complexities that demand specialized technology and processes, and failure to comply can lead to significant financial losses, strained relationships with retailers, and reputational damage.
